Job Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of tool design to facilitate production or procurement of tooling.
• Determines the most effective manufacturing process while sustaining the most efficient cost.
• Prepares the initial specification of tooling for specific programs and/or products.
• Captures and understands tooling quoting.
• Organizes, maintains, and updates Tooling & Die data.
• Maintains communication with tooling & die shops regarding progress and any deviations from agreed timelines.
• Supports and manages tool & die shops on any and all timing issues – creates action plans and follows up on agreed action plans and timing.
• Reviews tooling & die shops (travel required).
• Directs and monitors tooling & die shops on actions created from review.
• Participates in Continual Improvement activities.

Qualifications

• An Engineering degree is required.
