Tool Team Member

Responsibilities

  • Issue, receive, and track tools, hardware, and consumable supplies
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts
  • Stock and replenish toolroom inventory to ensure availability of essential items
  • Inspect tools and equipment for wear, damage, or missing components
  • Cook up tool repairs, calibration, and replacement as needed

  • Coordinate tool repairs, calibration, and replacement as needed
  • Organize and maintain tool storage areas for easy identification and access
  • Process requests for tools, hardware, and supplies from employees and departments
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate purchasing needs to management
  • Receive and verify incoming tool and hardware shipments
  • Keep the toolroom clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards
  • Aid with continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and tool management

Qualifications & Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of previous experience in inventory control, toolroom operations, warehouse operations, preferred
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, hardware, and industrial supplies
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

Preferred Skills

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Knowledge of industrial hardware, fasteners, PPE, and supplies
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production teams
