Tool Room Machinist
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
- Machining of new parts
- Repair of used parts to original specifications
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Maintain die maintenance records as required
Qualifications
- High School/GED required
- National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) required
- 5+ Years experience in machining, stamping dies required
- Knowledge in use of all Machine Tools, and Measuring Instruments
- Journeyman Machinist Upon Hire preferred
Soft Skills
- Basic knowledge of tooling nomenclature
- Ability to use equipment and apply measuring skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Strong attention to detail
Physical Demands
- Stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs.
