Tool Room Machinist

About the role

Perform highly diversified and complex work in a machine shop environment. Set up and operate all standard machine tools on progressive machining operations for parts, equipment, tools, and experimental or development projects. Plan, lay out, and execute operations based on sketches, blueprints, or other instructions to construct, alter, or repair tools, dies, fixtures, and special-purpose equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Machine Shop equipment such as Milling machines, Lathes, Surface Grinders, O.D. Grinders, and Saws.
• Use inspection equipment including Calipers, Indicators, Bore Gauges, Height Gauges, and Digital Read Outs.
• Perform other duties related to this position as assigned.

Requirements

• High School degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in a related field.
