Job Responsibilities
- Manufacture new tooling, die components, and replacement parts from blueprints, sketches, specifications, or existing samples.
- Repair and restore worn or damaged tooling, dies, and components to original specifications.
- Operate machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and other precision machining equipment.
- Inspect and verify parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with dimensional and quality requirements.
- Absorb and support die teardown, troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and maintenance activities.
- Establish and adjust work methods and priorities to meet production schedules and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate die maintenance records and related documentation.
- Develop, recommend, and implement improvements to production methods, tooling performance, equipment reliability, and product quality.
- Support production requirements while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Train, mentor, and assist team members as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Journeyman Machinist certification, accredited machinist training, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of machining and tool room experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and machine shop equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Stamping die experience.
- Progressive die maintenance and repair experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or metal stamping environment.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.
- Frequent handling of tools, dies, and machine components.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
