Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years tool room experience.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with tool maintenance and inspections.
- Documented experience in segregating, routing, and controlling the flow of project or standard tools.
- Experience in receiving, warehousing, and shipping within an industrial environment.
- Basic training in tool control and work order release methods.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials and storekeeping methods.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Job Description
What You Will Be Doing:
- Requisitions, receives, identifies, stocks, distributes, and collects items such as fixed asset tools, shop supplies, electrical/electronic testing, and similar equipment.
- Operates a computer workstation and demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Word, inventory control systems, precise measuring equipment, and FOD control procedures and processes.
- Maintains equipment safety, operational status, and appropriate configuration for use.
- Tracks misplaced, overdue, back-ordered, and special items, and reschedules calibration or maintenance servicing dates.
- Performs tool control duties to ensure availability of tooling and consumable supplies.
- Hazmat storage and issue, supply issue/turn-in, and other duties.
- Maintains accountability of company or government Hazmat in compliance with applicable local policies or government regulations.
- Maintains checklists, files, and logs for tooling control.
- Prepares lists, logs, and paperwork for attendants on the following shift.
- Performs tool crib attendant duties when necessary.
- Serves employees at the counter for the distribution and return of tools at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Stocks and orders consumable supplies.
- Performs related or similar duties as directed.
- Contributes to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required upkeep.
- Follows all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
- Segregates waste material and follows good housekeeping practices.
