Tool Room Attendant
Ziegler CAT is seeking a full-time Tool Room Attendant to support our shops and tool room. This role maintains a neat and orderly tool room and receiving areas while ensuring stock levels and quality of tools, materials, and supplies for facility and field personnel. The position also assists customers with loading and unloading parts and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Transfers tools, components, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas
- Assists with shop and facility clean-up and maintenance
- Ships and receives components on nightly shuttle trucks
- Provides assistance to other departments as requested
- Promptly greets and assists customers in the yard and loading bay
- Safely loads and unloads customer trucks and pick-ups
- Maintains a clean and orderly loading bay area at all times
- Cleans and maintains component washers
- Cleans equipment using proper equipment
- Cleans and maintains grounds, parking lots, and other areas, as assigned
- Cleans and maintains large steam room and/or wash bay
- Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in a shop or yard, operating equipment and forklifts
- Dependable, self-starter, and hard-working
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Team-player and willing to help wherever needed
- Maintains a safe and organized work area
- Able to operate required equipment safely (e.g., forklift, sprayers, equipment)
- This role is safety-sensitive and will be subject to a pre-employment drug test
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
- Lift bulky objects
- Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing
- Neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat
- Forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling
- Bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping (e.g., able to use bolt box)
Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $34.00 per hour. Starting wage depends on skills, experience, education, and location. Pay may vary by up to 10% based on the applicant’s location.
