About the Role
As a Toolmaker at Tiffany & Co., you will report to the Tooling Manager and Supervisor, interfacing extensively with all departments and plants. This role involves creating a range of tools—from simple to complex—including progressive and single-stage tools, molds, drill fixtures, and more. You will collaborate across Tiffany & Co.’s New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing, and LVMH groups, contributing to both production support and new product development.
Responsibilities
- Work safely by adhering to all safety procedures and promptly reporting incidents or concerns.
- Partner with the Toolroom Manager to ensure daily production capabilities and address inefficiencies.
- Contribute to meeting production request dates and participate in toolroom activities for new product development.
- Set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other equipment.
- Design and fabricate fixtures, and provide production support.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce labor and costs.
- Fabricate samples to support new product development.
- Collaborate with management, toolroom staff, and internal customers to make sound technical decisions.
- Uphold Tiffany & Co.’s quality standards to ensure on-time delivery and exceptional results.
- Participate in 5S activities to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Build partnerships across departments to foster efficiency and a supportive work culture.
Requirements
- Technical proficiency in tooling, toolroom processes, and the ability to read and interpret technical prints.
- Proficiency in operating manual toolroom equipment and familiarity with DRO-operated equipment.
- CAD/CAM experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated intermediate-level English reading and writing skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to train, motivate, and provide direction to others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college or a bachelor’s degree.
- Bilingual in Spanish (a plus).
- Experience with Rhino, Solidworks, or Mastercam.
- Experience in micro-milling and machining metals.
- Experience with progressive and/or single-operation tooling.
