Responsibilities
- Diagnose molds to repair or replace parts and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect molds to ensure proper operation.
- Enter all work orders and preventive maintenance (PMs) into the system on your shift.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and cooling circuits.
- Maintain inventory of replacement components.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits and thermal issues.
- Oversee a major amount of work required for each mechanical project assigned.
- Train specialized skills to enhance lesser skilled personnel.
- Perform welding (MIG, Micro MIG, TIG) as needed.
- Perform all duties of the Maintenance A and B positions.
- Miscellaneous maintenance duties as assigned, including mold cleaning, mold setting, and minor mold maintenance.
Requirements
- Understands safety lock out/tag out procedures.
- Must be able to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available.
- Independent worker who requires minimal supervision.
- Proven excellent attendance and safety records.
- Moderate to heavy physical effort; frequently moving material in difficult work positions.
- Able and willing to attend schools/seminars for specialized trade.
- Able to work at 20 ft. safely.
- Drive and operate a forklift.
- Operate pendant crane.
- Must be able to pass Maintenance Specialist Tool Room Placement test.
