Techniplas has long-term relationships with many of the world’s leading automotive and industrial OEMs. JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate partsComputes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operationsMeasures, marks and scribes metal stock for machiningSets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grindersVerifies conformance of machined parts to specificationsMaintains all production toolingFabrication of any extra tooling neededDiagnose urgent tooling issues QUALIFICATIONS: State accredited Tool and Die Journeyman card or equivalent on-the-job experienceSuch experience evaluated at time of hire by the Tool Room Supervisor and upper managementKnowledge of metal working and metal working equipmentAbility to work with minimal supervision in a deadline oriented environment and display good decision making skillsCompressed Gas, Hot Work, Welding Safety trainingCranes Overhead and Gantry trainingTow Motor CertificationTool Maker OJT
