Tool/Equipment Coordinator
About the role
Yearout Mechanical, a Legence Company, seeks a detail-oriented and highly organized Tool/Equipment Coordinator. This role supports efficient and safe operations by managing tools and equipment across various projects.
Responsibilities
- Support field personnel by fulfilling tool and equipment requests in a timely manner.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding tool availability, repairs, and equipment needs.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment rentals and repair services.
- Manage tool distribution, inspect tools for safety, schedule and track repairs, and maintain inventory.
- Interface with warehouse, purchasing, and field teams to align tool availability with project needs.
- Aid the Warehouse/Purchasing Team Leader in fulfilling departmental responsibilities.
- Maintain physical and electronic records for all tools and equipment, generate logs, and create job labels.
- Communicate updates regarding tool status, repairs, and inventory levels.
- Ensure accountability for all tools and equipment issued and returned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory processes.
- Experience working with SAP, ERP systems, or inventory management software.
- Experience in construction, HVAC, or mechanical environments highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and maintain process and procedure documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
