About the Role
This role involves performing extensive die maintenance, including rebuilding die sections, retiming pads and forms, and implementing engineering changes on large body class A dies.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to shape parts to specifications.
- Read process sheets and work orders, and identify root causes of die downtime with solutions.
- Demonstrate ability to maneuver around vehicles, equipment, and work stations, including reaching, lifting, bending, and working at heights or overhead.
Requirements
- Must have completed a bona fide apprenticeship, or have 8+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- Experience with launching and try-out of large body dies is required.
- Ability to follow safety protocols, work in a team, and accept instructions is essential.
- Ability to work extended hours, shifts, and overtime while maintaining good attendance.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and manipulate tools is necessary.
- Successful completion of interviews, drug screening, physical, and background checks is required.
