About the Role

The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for maintaining production, quality performance levels, and the efficient use of manufacturing equipment in accordance with his/her knowledge and training in conformance with established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints
• Operate all machine shop equipment including milling machines (manual and CNC), lathes, surface grinders, and other equipment
• Service and repair progressive high-speed stamping dies
• Service and repair high-cavitation plastic injection molds
• Work unsupervised to a tolerance of .0001”
• Set up and troubleshoot molds and dies – Schaal high-speed stamping presses, Sumitomo plastic mold injection machines

Requirements

• High School or GED equivalent required
• 4 years minimum experience in a machine shop role

Skills

• Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand operating and related procedures
• Ability to communicate goals in an inspirational manner
• Basic arithmetic skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to learn and implement GMP, SOPs, and other procedures
