About the Role

We are hiring a Tool & Die Maker for our Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift. This role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications to stamping and forming equipment at our Jackson, TN facility. You will report to the Tool Room Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on both progressive and single-stroke metal stamping dies.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues with stamping and forming equipment, including stamping dies, presses, and benders.
• Provide feedback on adjustments needed for die preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve part quality.
• Perform general machine shop work using conventional mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
• Assist in the development of new stamping dies and modifications to existing dies to extend life and improve part quality.
• Submit purchase requisitions for parts and components needed for die repair and maintenance.
• Identify critical parts and make recommendations on spare components to inventory.

Requirements

• Ability to meet attendance standards and work a 40-hour week, with occasional additional hours to meet deadlines.
• Highly motivated, well-organized, and able to maintain high personal standards of quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with management and team members.
• Excellent problem-solving and team motivational skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with a variety of individuals, including production personnel, maintenance personnel, manufacturing engineers, management, and outside contractors.
