About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced maintenance professional to lead a comprehensive due diligence and audit initiative within a high-volume automotive stamping operation in Ontario, CAN. This role will focus on evaluating current maintenance practices, assessing MES/CMMS capabilities, and building a structured roadmap to reduce downtime and improve operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a full due diligence review of maintenance operations across stamping equipment and tool & die functions.
  • Assess current maintenance management systems (MES/CMMS), including data integrity, utilization, and reporting capabilities.
  • Map existing maintenance workflows, including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance processes.
  • Evaluate tool & die maintenance practices to ensure precision, repeatability, and alignment with production requirements.
  • Analyze downtime data, identify failure patterns, and quantify key loss drivers across presses and dies.
  • Develop a structured maintenance audit framework, including KPIs, benchmarks, and performance metrics.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve equipment reliability, tooling performance, and maintenance efficiency.
  • Partner with plant leadership, engineering, and operations to align audit findings with business objectives.
  • Support development of a roadmap for MES/CMMS optimization and integration with maintenance processes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in automotive stamping environments, including presses and tool & die operations.
  • Strong background in maintenance due diligence, audits, or operational assessments.
  • Experience with MES and/or CMMS platforms, including evaluation and optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze downtime, identify root causes, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Strong understanding of tooling precision requirements and die maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in automotive stamping environments.
  • Strong background in maintenance due diligence and audits.
  • Experience with MES and/or CMMS platforms.
  • Ability to analyze downtime and implement improvements.
  • Understanding of tooling precision requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills
