About the role
The Tool and Die Maker plays a crucial role in developing and debugging new dies, utilizing troubleshooting skills, blue-print reading, and knowledge of SPC. This position requires experience with various inspection equipment and basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Keep a clean and safe work area
- Understand tool steels and production materials
- Construct, alter, or repair tools according to blueprints and CAD data
- Operate Tool Room equipment
- Fabricate tooling in the stamping department
- Maintain proper tooling records for preventative maintenance
- Setup dies, material feeds, and operate the punch press to trial tools
- Debug and troubleshoot new tooling for part approval
- Aid in die changeovers
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements
- Completed Tool and Die Apprenticeship or 10+ years of equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker with troubleshooting skills
- Expert in blue-print reading with GDT
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of SPC
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to push 200 lbs. on wheeled carts with assistance
- Ability to use various inspection equipment
- Available for mandatory overtime or non-standard/extended work schedules
- CNC Mill and EDM experience is a plus
Qualifications

Pay
Target hourly hiring range: $26.00 to $33.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Mandatory overtime or non-standard/extended work schedules may be required.
