Tool and Die Maintenance Technician

About the role

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE), a joint venture between Worthington Enterprises and Armstrong World Industries, is seeking a Tool and Die Maintenance Technician to join their team. The position is available Monday through Friday, 2:45 to 10:45 PM, with some required overtime. Training will be completed on day shift (6:15 AM to 2:30 PM) for the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Repair/refurbish tooling using a variety of machine shop equipment and bench work to maintain close tolerances of +/-.0005”.
• Conduct tooling changeover and assist operator in troubleshooting startup and quality specifications.
• Perform try-outs on all repaired/refurbished tooling and verify samples meet quality specifications.
• Perform basic machine preventive maintenance on machine shop equipment.
• Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform all work in a safe manner.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.
• Perform these and other related duties as assigned or directed.
• Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture.
• Preserve a safe work environment and work in a safe manner following all safety SOPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years or more of Tool & Die repair or machine shop experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds.
• Able to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area.
