Responsibilities

• Direct and administer the operational efforts of the Branch
• Ensure that established policies and procedures are followed
• Oversee provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members
• Ensure that members are promptly and professionally served
• Train, direct, and supervise Branch staff
• Supervise work scheduling and workflow of daily routine operations
• Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies and with legal and regulatory requirements
• Ensure Branch security; open and close the building in accordance with set hours and test security equipment
• Act as a Loan Officer, processing and approving member loans within established policies and limits
• Supervise and assist with member services functions; cross-sell Credit Union services
• Implement changes to established policy and procedures within the Branch
• Assume responsibility for maintaining the proper cash controls
• Ensure that all Branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day
• Oversee individual accountability for the handling of cash and assist tellers in resolving balancing problems
• Control and handle daily deposits in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Periodically verify cash in possession of tellers and cash on the premises
• Effectively supervise Branch staff, ensuring optimal performance
• Provide leadership through effective goal setting and communication
• Directly supervise all Branch personnel; ensure that high quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained
• Determine work methods and flow through assigning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing tasks
• Conduct regular meetings with Branch employees to inform and train; discuss areas needing improvement and changes in procedure
• Conduct meetings with Branch management staff as needed to coordinate activities
• Ensure that personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs
• Complete orientation of new employees in overall Branch procedures; perform cross training as necessary; conduct security training
• Ensure that personnel are effective and optimally used; determine appropriate staffing levels for proper utilization of human resources
• Track individual progress and conduct performance appraisals on each employee at least twice annually
• Formulate and implement corrective actions as needed; recommend promotions for employees as appropriate
• Provide leadership training to employees seeking management opportunities
• Approve all sick leave, vacation, overtime, and time cards for each Branch employee; keep accurate payroll and attendance records
• Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members
• Ensure that members' requests and questions are promptly resolved; handle members' complaints
• Ensure that members are informed of Credit Union services and policies; counsel members regarding their financial needs and services requested
• Ensure that the Credit Union's quality reputation is maintained and projected
• Assume responsibility for the effective administration of Branch functions
• Ensure that Branch operations are well coordinated with Credit Union accounting, loan processing, and credit functions
• Manage and oversee expenses; pursue cost-saving measures
• Continually seek ways to improve Branch operations and productivity and to meet established goals
• Prepare periodic Branch activity reports and make recommendations to management for improvements
• Ensure that proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas, desks, and equipment is carried out, including snow and ice removal
• Ensure that adequate supplies, forms, and equipment are available for personnel
• Institute prudent safety measures
• Keep management informed of Branch activities, progress toward established objectives, and of any significant problems; request assistance when necessary
• Approve checks, branch transactions, and loans within credit union policies and procedures
• Ensure that fees and refunds are handled in accordance with credit union guidelines
• Assume responsibility for related functions as required or assigned
• Fill in and perform duties in Branch positions as needed
• Attend assigned meetings, training sessions and stay current on new operational procedures
• Assume responsibility for ensuring that professional business relationships are established and maintained with outside business contacts and external insurance professionals
• Ensure that the professional reputation of Cyprus Federal Credit Union is maintained both internally and externally
• Ensure appropriate levels of security and confidentiality are maintained
• Act as a principal representative of the Credit Union in contact with business and trade associations and external professionals; promote the Credit Union's interests

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Additional college coursework in business or finance preferred
• At least five years of related experience in a financial institution
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience

• Thorough knowledge of Credit Union services and products
• Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with Branch functions, policies, and procedures
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills
• Well organized
• Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to maintain an effective and efficient work flow

Pay

Competitive pay depending on experience and qualifications with the opportunity for bonuses and incentives. Pay increase for English/Spanish speaking.

Schedule

Monday-Friday from 8:45 AM - 6:15 PM and some Saturdays from 8:45 AM to 2:15 PM. Saturday evenings and all day Sunday free.
