Toddler Teacher early childhood educator Child Care
$15-$22+/hr based on level of experience, education, and position. $1,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days of successful employment, paid as $250 every 3 months over the first year.
About the Role
The Tot Spot is seeking a nurturing, patient, and experienced toddler teacher for our Early Childhood Education/Licensed Childcare program, located in the South End of Concord near I-93 & I-89. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and encourage those passionate about working with young children to apply. This role involves working with children aged 12 months to approximately 3.5 years in a Montessori-inspired, child-centered environment that honors the whole child, fosters independence, and supports social and developmental growth.
Flexibility on education and experience is offered. While prior experience or education in early childhood is a plus, we consider all applicants who are inspired to work with young children and are willing to meet licensing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and facilitate early learning activities for toddlers aged 12 months to approximately 3 years.
- Maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
- Share cleaning responsibilities for the overall center, including taking out trash, wiping tables and chairs after meals, vacuuming, and cleaning floors.
Requirements
- Compliance with NH Child Care Licensing Rules, including criminal background and fingerprint checks.
- Completion of Health and Safety Trainings.
- CPR and First Aid certification within the first 90 days of employment (unless already certified).
- Annual professional development.
- Patient, kind, empathetic, and punctual with a positive mindset and ability to multitask.
- Team-player mentality, essential for our smaller center.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications for various roles include:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, Current CDA, or Montessori Certificate for Lead Teacher/Assistant Director/Director positions.
- 18 ECE credits for Lead Teacher.
- 9 Early Childhood Education Credits (or in progress) for Associate-level roles.
- For Assistant Teacher, we will work with you to meet Associate qualifications through coursework or alternative pathways.
- Alternatively, meet new licensing guidelines for Associate Teacher through life or work experience with children in this age group.
- Experience working with children for more than one year is a plus, especially in a childcare center.
- Some education in early childhood or elementary education is preferred but not required.

Schedule
