About the role
The Learning Experience - East Brunswick is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Toddler Teacher who loves the energy, curiosity, and excitement of the toddler years! Our Toddler Teachers help young children develop language, independence, confidence, and social skills through engaging activities, hands-on exploration, and meaningful relationships. If you enjoy watching little personalities blossom and helping children discover what they can do, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging Toddler classroom environment
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Engage children through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, and hands-on learning
- Encourage language development, independence, and positive social interactions
- Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and daily classroom transitions
- Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones and progress
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and center leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education experience preferred
- Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Patient, energetic, dependable, and team-oriented
- Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements

$17-$18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
