Toddler teacher

About This Role

Mercy Baptist CDC in Conway, SC is seeking a qualified Toddler teacher to work with Infant / Toddler (0–2) in a faith-based program environment. This position requires no formal credential — just relevant experience. Our ideal candidate is a caring and compassionate childcare worker who will foster the growth and development of young children in a nurturing environment. They will be passionate about encouraging each child's unique qualities and interests, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that promotes learning and exploration. What You'll Do

• Establish a daily schedule that balances active and quiet activities, both indoors and outdoors, to meet the diverse needs of the children
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that reflect the Center's philosophy and values
• Organize materials, equipment, and space to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the children
• Develop and maintain a daily routine that incorporates child-directed activities, care routines, and transition times
• Ensure the well-being and safety of the children at all times, and respond promptly to their physical and emotional needs
• Document incidents, accidents, and illnesses in the daily logbook, and follow Center procedures for reporting and record-keeping
• Administer medications and maintain accurate health records in accordance with Center policies and regulations
• Build positive relationships with parents through open and effective communication, and ensure that all interactions are respectful and supportive
• Carry out assigned responsibilities and tasks, and maintain confidentiality of all information related to the children, parents, and staff
• Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, and be able to adapt to changing circumstances with a positive and flexible attitude.
• Be a role model and demonstrate a high level of energy, resilience, and humor in the face of challenges.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, parents, and community members
• Must demonstrate a mature and responsible attitude towards work
• Must be able to lift 20-25 pounds and frequently sit on the floor

Benefits

• This Toddler teacher role pays $12 to $15/Hr.
