TN Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Aid in reducing downtime and increasing efficiency during repairs and maintenance of equipment.
• Support the achievement of objectives related to production, technology, and resource needs.
• Complete assigned installations, tests, maintenance, and repairs of facilities and equipment.
• Participate in strategies to decrease mechanical downtime and maintain product flow and production.
• Engage in maintenance training to stay updated with the latest operating procedures.
• Assist with plant equipment and systems operations to minimize unplanned downtime and anticipate potential issues.
• Ensure maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM schedules are met and completed as planned.
• Comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies while performing maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Thorough knowledge of world-class maintenance management systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
• Adaptable to new technologies, troubleshoots technological problems, and uses technology to enhance productivity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with all levels of management and customers.
• Capable of planning work on a daily schedule, working independently, and being highly motivated.
• Proficient in basic mathematical operations and able to apply them to practical situations.
• Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing.
• Frequent reaching with hands and arms, climbing ladders and platforms, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Loud noise level in the work environment.
