TMS Technician - Hope Spring
About the role
The Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Technician will administer in-office therapeutic treatments under the direction of our treating physician. Their primary responsibility is to administer and manage TMS services, interact with patients, and perform additional office administrative and nursing support tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide integrated outreach, support, and follow-up services to individuals requesting TMS services through adult programs provided within and outside of Ozark Center.
- Administer therapeutic TMS services at the direction of the treating provider.
- Affiliate in coordinating psychiatric treatment needs through monitoring of patient symptoms and behavioral health needs.
- Provide medical intervention in emergency situations.
- Follow established treatment and office procedures, including maintaining confidentiality, documentation standards, and managing referrals.
- Manage insurance preauthorization's.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or similar Health Care Clinical Certification is preferred.
- One year working in a behavioral healthcare setting is preferred.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, convey a philosophy of dual recovery, and be trained and/or experienced in working with severe mental illness and/or substance abusing diagnosed individuals to assess, plan, develop, coordinate, and provide ongoing TMS services.
The candidate will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive, preventing victimization, abuse, or trauma because of the care received.
