About the role
The Rigger uses mechanical and power tools to install and connect motors and accessories on boats or ATVs according to factory specifications or work orders.
Responsibilities
- Rig boat packages per factory specifications or work orders.
- Notify Service Manager of any rigging issues, additional work needed, or safety concerns with units or customer requests.
- Maintain efficient workflow to meet service schedules.
- Prepare loose motors or trailers for customer delivery.
- Test each unit for proper and safe operation using established marine service procedures.
- Follow work order procedures for parts, labor, and paperwork; handle unlisted tasks as needed.
- Compile warranty packages for every unit per outlined process.
- Complete rigging checklists and assist with inspection processes.
- Install optional equipment or accessories as requested by customers.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work with electrical systems and wiring for engine assembly and connections.
- Strong communication skills for professional interactions with customers and associates.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned environment.
Pay
Starting pay rate: $21.00 - $24.71 per hour.
