About the role
The Production Team Leader is responsible for clarifying and enhancing the Supervisors' ability to conduct their daily activities to accomplish RPC objectives. In addition to providing the Customer with the best product, value, and service possible, the role ensures a safe and clean environment that promotes Quality, Productivity, and a healthy RPC-Employee relationship.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the daily production schedule execution, ensuring manufacturing compliance with Specifications set forth by the Customer and RPC.
- Maintains or exceeds manufacturing Standards, Yields, and Efficiencies.
- Promotes Continuous Improvement Process throughout the facility.
- Promotes Quality of Work Life for all employees.
- Ensures all required documentation for production records is completed according to RPC policies.
- Trains line leads and line employees on Rules and Regulations, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Job Expectations.
- Resolves employee issues through the grievance process.
- Recommends Recognitions, Promotions, or disciplinary actions based on Employee performance.
- Attends and completes any RPC-sponsored Training.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED); College degree preferred.
- 5 years of Food Manufacturing experience (minimum).
- 2 years of Supervisory experience (minimum).
- Knowledge of SAP or similar systems.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a plus).
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective Communication Skills (will direct English, Spanish, and Asian-speaking employees).
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment.
- Ability to document and measure results.
- Ability to supervise and motivate others.
- Teamwork-building skills.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ability to follow procedures.
- Bilingual (a plus).
Pay
Annual Range/Hourly Rate: $65,343.00 - $88,405.00
