About the role

Solution design and development of procedures and systems that solve complex business problems, converting these procedures into applications and programs required for computer solutions. Occasionally perform in a lead role on projects and operate developed systems as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop applications, programs, and user interfaces based on technical design specifications for custom COTS and fully customized solutions to support the Title business
  • Research and recommend new cloud and AI technologies to support the business objectives of the Title division
  • Document technical design specifications for programs and data structures based on business requirements for Title systems
  • Develop unit test plans and cases for programs and applications
  • Educate users on capabilities and use of current platforms and new technologies as they are produced
  • Develop integration/system test plans and test cases for programs and applications
  • Work with team members to develop plans and deliver programs that integrate seamlessly into the overall architecture and title technology platform
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems within application software
  • Develop project plans, architectural designs, and progress reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Java, Python, C, Rust, and C#
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, schema design, and associated tools
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and tools
  • Understanding of project management and time management principles
  • Knowledge of mortgage insurance industry and data exchange standards (e.g., EDI, MISMO, Fannie Mae, DU, XML, JSON)
  • Experience working with Mortgage Title technologies is a plus

Skills

  • Ability to use configuration management software
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems and tools
  • Training in systems analysis, especially structured methods
  • Strong communication skills—oral and written
  • Diagnostic and conceptual analysis skills
  • Strong development, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly and accurately make decisions
  • Capability to work effectively with others
