Title Specialist, Supplier Development

Responsibilities

  • Works for the Supply Chain team as a technical resource supporting the external supplied hydromechanical and thermal products, electronic assemblies, and other products or services of a technical and specialized nature.
  • Aids in assessing supplier capabilities prior to supplier selection, and supports supplier non-conformance on legacy product.
  • Works with suppliers to identify manufacturability improvements, addresses delivery challenges, part execution, and quality issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Liaises between the Supplier, Triumph Engineering, and Triumph Quality.
  • Interfaces with internal teams and Suppliers in a respectful manner to facilitate productive communications regarding technical risks, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Upholds Quality and Process System requirements; manages review and disposition of supplier non-conformities within the quality system.
  • Supports RCCA process with suppliers as needed.
  • Brings cost reduction ideas to Supplier/Engineering.
  • Conducts onsite Supplier Risk Assessments.
  • Proactively manages poor performing suppliers using quality data trend analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in technical field.
  • Experience working in a technical capacity in a Manufacturing Environment, preferably on cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with external manufacturers and/or service providers.
  • Ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
  • Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic.
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint).
  • Travel Required ~40%.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience working with aerospace specifications and quality systems is preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Location

Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees.

Company Details

The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Pay

Salary Range: $101,000.00 - $151,400.00 per Year
