Title Operator - Cutter/Flipper (CR) - Shift 3

About the Role

Rich Products Corporation, a family-owned food company, is seeking a Cheeseroom Operator to join their team at the Brunswick facility. The role involves preparing frozen cheese products to meet quality specifications and production needs, contributing to the company's profitability by working efficiently and cooperatively with the team.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply knowledge of processing raw cheese products to meet quality specifications and production needs.
• Ensure correct raw materials are available and set up equipment for proper operation.
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts safely and in accordance with training.
• Assist maintenance mechanics with preventive maintenance and perform other maintenance tasks as requested.
• Prep raw materials, remove plastic from cheese, and inspect blocks before grinding.
• Maintain a clean work area, dispose of waste properly, and follow plant sanitation policies.
• Track cheese tags for production records and account for raw cheese at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Understand mechanical functions of equipment and assemble/disassemble cheese room equipment.
• Open cheese blocks safely and stack raw cheese on tables.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds occasionally above shoulder height.
• Punctual and reliable work attendance.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• No severe allergies to cheese, ingredients, cardboard, latex, or chlorine.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and product safety requirements.
• Ability to identify and resolve product or processing problems within scope of training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships.
• Understanding of team productivity and plant profitability, with a focus on personal productivity and process improvement.

Skills
