Title Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate machines safely, efficiently, and cleanly.
• Communicate as required with supervisor.
• Affirm that the necessary tools, settings, and supplies are ready prior to production.
• Maintain constant attendance to the machines and prevent other employees who are not trained on that machine from improper use.
• Record and account for all materials used on the line for assigned shift.
• Aid supervisor in maintaining the work areas in a clean and safe manner.
• Make minor machine adjustments and inform the supervisor and the maintenance department when major repairs are required.
• Record all downtime due to machine malfunctions and report them to the supervisor at the end of the shift.
• Adhere to all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan. Follow all USDA guidelines. Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance. Comply with customer requirements when applicable.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred.
• Able to make logical decisions.
• Work bending and squatting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Ability to follow USDA guidelines.
• Ability to report issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance.
• Ability to comply with customer requirements when applicable.
