About the role

The Title IX Coordinator and Compliance Officer serves as a primary resource for faculty, staff, and student rights and responsibilities. They provide oversight in the areas of Title IX issues and peer training for staff, faculty, and administrators at Kentucky State University. The role involves overseeing and coordinating Title IX investigations, responses, and resolutions to complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations such as Title IX, VAWA, Clery Act, ADA, and others.
  • Oversees and audits University policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Manages investigations of reports and complaints of sexual misconduct, ensuring they are adequate, reliable, timely, confidential, and impartial.
  • Safeguards confidentiality during investigations and ensures informed and consistent communication in policy implementation.
  • Develops and delivers educational programs and training on discrimination and sexual harassment prevention.
  • Collaborates with other departments to communicate Title IX policy to all constituencies.
  • Works to foster a safe and respectful learning, working, and living environment on campus.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a master's degree in higher education administration or a related field in combination with at least seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership roles in higher education or related fields, as well as experience training and developing staff.
