This incredible opportunity involves making initial and continuing Title IV-E and Medicaid eligibility determinations for Foster Care children, all in accordance with Federal, State, and DHHS policy and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and reviewing client information to determine client's/applicant's eligibility and options.
• Preparing and/or processing documents; reviewing for accuracy and completeness; updating information and/or evaluating against policy; comparing elements for consistency or logical relationships, etc.
• Referring clients to other available services to meet needs where appropriate.
• Consulting with Division of Child Family Services staff regarding eligibility requirements when necessary.
• Maintaining and/or creating files or record keeping systems; sorting, labeling, filing, and retrieving documents, and/or other materials.
• Entering data into relevant databases such as EREP, and SAFE
• Participate in Peer Reviews, state and Federal audits.

• Knowledge of State or agency-specific software application program(s);
• Knowledge of SAFE (i.e., State social services computer application program);
• Experience with Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meet; Microsoft Word & Excel;
• Knowledge and experience with Foster care services.

Preference

• Preference may be given for experience in or knowledge of Title IV-E and Medicaid and/or two or more years experience working in government or public programs.

Supplemental Information

• May require 24-hour on-call services/time. 24-hour on-call services response time to be determined by the agency.
• Department of Human Resource Management rules regarding promotions and transfers apply to current employees.
• Travel required; you may be required to use your personal vehicle to perform the duties of this position; approved mileage is reimbursable through State Finance.
• All DCFS job offers are contingent upon passing a Background Screening Application (BSA).
• Must have a valid Utah driver's license.
