TITLE I - SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS TEACHER ASSISTANT III - MOUNTAIN VIEW ES.

This is a 9-month, 7-hour-per-day position as a one-on-one assistant in the Least Restrictive Environment program, supporting a student.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one assistance to a student in a least restrictive environment.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
• Minimum of 48 credits from an accredited college or university or a passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro assessment.
• Experience working with children.
• Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization. Certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment and include in-person, hands-on training (online courses are not accepted). A copy of the front and back of the certificate must be uploaded with the application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Signing abilities (for the hearing-impaired program).
• One (1) year of experience working with special education children.

Documents Required at Time of Application

• High school transcript or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
• College transcript(s) from an accredited institution, if applicable, or a copy of a passing score on the ETS ParaPro assessment.
• Current CPR/AED certificate (front and back).
• Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.
• Out-of-district applicants: Employment history for the three (3) most recent years, including dates of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work under the “Experience and Credentials” section of the application.
