Location: Earl N. Jenkins Elementary School, Las Vegas

Duration: 9 months (school year 2026–2027)
Schedule: 6 hours per day

About the role

Para-Professional support position in the Resource Room program at a Title I elementary school.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff in delivering specialized instruction to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support in academic, behavioral, and functional skills.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement student goals.
• Monitor and document student progress as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of at least 60 semester-hour credits from a regionally accredited college or university, OR an Associate’s degree (or higher), OR passage of the ParaPro Assessment or local assessment approved by the Nevada Department of Education.
• Three years of full-time, verifiable work experience (paid, volunteer, or schooling) must be documented in the application.
