Job Goal
To assist students in meeting the Salem School District reading standards.
Performance Responsibilities
- Provide direct reading instruction to students in consultation with the reading specialist.
- Administer standardized and informal reading assessments.
- Utilize assessment data to inform instruction.
- Maintain and record student progress and share information with the building reading specialist, classroom teacher, and other professional staff, as appropriate.
- Maintain student records as required by the district.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, building reading specialist, and other professional staff to deliver a cohesive program that supports classroom instruction.
- Work cooperatively with staff to achieve school objectives.
Terms of Employment
To be established by school board by August 20th, 2026-2027
Hourly Salary
$18.81 plus $1.00 for holding a certification from the NH Department of Education as a paraeducator II or a teacher.

Evaluation
Performance to be evaluated no less than annually by the Director of Literacy.
