Responsibilities
- Examine title reports provided by third-party search vendors for mortgage foreclosure transactions
- Identify necessary defendants to a judicial mortgage foreclosure action
- Identify parties required to receive notice of a non-judicial foreclosure action
- Identify superior interests, title defects, and title curative issues
- Utilize online search portals for in-house tax and title searches
- Use online tools to plot metes and bounds legal descriptions
- Obtain aerial views of subject properties using online websites
Requirements
- 3–5 years of title examination experience, preferably in the mortgage foreclosure arena
- Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiency
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using PDF applications such as Adobe Acrobat and eCopy to markup title reports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience performing paperless title examinations
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-state examination experience, preferably in some or all of the following states: CA, DE, GA, KY, IL, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, MI, and VA
