Responsibilities

  • Examine title reports provided by third-party search vendors for mortgage foreclosure transactions
  • Identify necessary defendants to a judicial mortgage foreclosure action
  • Identify parties required to receive notice of a non-judicial foreclosure action
  • Identify superior interests, title defects, and title curative issues
  • Utilize online search portals for in-house tax and title searches
  • Use online tools to plot metes and bounds legal descriptions
  • Obtain aerial views of subject properties using online websites

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of title examination experience, preferably in the mortgage foreclosure arena
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiency
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using PDF applications such as Adobe Acrobat and eCopy to markup title reports
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience performing paperless title examinations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-state examination experience, preferably in some or all of the following states: CA, DE, GA, KY, IL, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, MI, and VA
