Title Clerk - Lexus of Fort Myers

About the role

Lexus and Acura of Fort Myers and Group is part of fast-growing Group 1 Automotive, a leader in automotive retail. We are seeking a qualified TITLE CLERK to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Proper titling of new, used and wholesale sales for the dealership.
• Safeguards retail transactions are processed in a timely manner.
• Supports three dealerships (Lexus & Acura of Fort Myers and Group 1 Chevrolet Estero Bay).
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Verifies costs and transactions for each vehicle sale.
• Aids in creating and processing leasing and loan paperwork.
• Prepares necessary paperwork for submission to the tag agency.
• Ensures the company's tag and title work meet state requirements.
• Prepares and submits all legal transfer documents to the state department of motor vehicles (DMV).
• Provides additional administrative support as needed.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a title clerk in an auto dealership or tag agency, preferably with 2 or more years.
• Knowledge of out-of-state titles is required.
• Previous experience working in a busy office environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
