Title Attorney

About the role

We are looking to hire an Acquisition Landman who is highly organized, self-motivated, and has a strong work ethic. Candidates ideally have 3-5+ years of sales and acquisition experience, including negotiating and closing mineral deals.

Compensation: Base Salary + Commissions

Responsibilities

• Assist the acquisition team and other employees in sourcing and acquiring minerals, as needed, and directed by direct report
• Track and assist due diligence process and curative for pending property acquisitions and sales
• Update or run title on tracts for mineral acquisition purposes
• Manage acquisition and sale closing and post-closing processes
• Update, maintain and manage CRM database for mineral acquisitions and sales

Requirements

• Comfortable with cold calling
• Proficient in Office365, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong communication skills, especially over the phone and via email
• Experience and knowledge of all facets of the oil and gas industry, including mineral rights
• Understand title requirements regarding the acquisition of mineral ownerships
• Experience in any of the following basins: Midland, Delaware, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, SCOOP, STACK, and Marcellus
• Self-motivated
• Adhere to company values and mission
• Full-Time in office (Houston, TX, or Tulsa, OK)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
