Title Assistant

What You'll Do

  • Underwrite, prepare, and distribute title commitments based on title opinions provided by approved attorneys.
  • Underwrite, prepare, and distribute final title policies and endorsements.
  • Review files for accuracy and resolve title-related issues when they arise.
  • Aid customers, attorneys, lenders, and internal partners with title inquiries, premium quotes, prior policies, endorsements, and policy revisions.
  • Conduct title database searches and research as needed.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming calls, emails, and office communications.
  • Support branch operations, including commercial transactions, claims inquiries, escrow-related matters, software testing, and special projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the Branch Manager and Office Manager as needed.
  • Collaborate with other Old Republic Title offices throughout North Carolina to provide operational support when necessary.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in title insurance, title production, escrow, closing, or real estate transactions preferred.
  • Experience with Qualia, SoftPro, RamQuest, or similar title production software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, customer-focused approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
