Title 1 Mathematics Paraprofessional

About the role

East Shore Leadership Academy seeks a full-time, hourly Mathematics Interventionist to support students in mastering mathematics concepts. You will work individually or in small groups, using data-driven instruction to bring students to grade-level proficiency and collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to implement research-based interventions tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted mathematics instruction to students individually or in small groups.
• Use data to guide instruction and monitor student progress toward grade-level skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices for student support.
• Implement research-based interventions focused on individual student needs.
• Maintain data-based documentation of student performance and progress.
• Contribute to program development and communicate mathematics focus areas with classroom teachers.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Arrive early to prepare for the day and stay after school to plan or support students as needed.
• Adhere to all school policies and expectations outlined in employee handbooks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 60 completed college credit hours.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Positive communication skills; ability to relate effectively to students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Applications.
• Punctuality and exemplary attendance record.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow federal and state safety regulations.

Schedule

This full-time, hourly position requires work between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed (40 hours per week).

Work Environment

This role operates in a school environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The role requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
