Tissue Recovery Specialist - Part Time Variable (20102-2026493)

Responsibilities

• Recover human tissues for transplant and research following established LifeNet Health and client policies and procedures.
• Aid in organizing recovery teams and may perform the role of trainer and/or preceptor for new tissue recovery employees.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to adequately cover needs of the recovery site operations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times while representing LifeNet Health.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of work experience
• Valid State Driver’s License and meets LifeNet Health’s minimum driving requirements for company related driving

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications

• Associate Degree or successful completion of a health care technical or professional program
• Allied Health
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Nursing, Certified Surgical Technologist/Surgical Technologist (CST/ST), Funeral Director/Embalmer, Autopsy Technician or Hospital Corpsman
• Previous experience with aseptic technique and/or previous experience in tissue banking, medical device or related industry

• Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish tasks, in solving problems and executing improvement initiatives
• Ability to communicate effectively to team members, management, other LifeNet Health staff and outside agencies involved in the donation process
• Ability to motivate self in completing assigned tasks and proactively seek out opportunities for self and organizational improvement
• Ability to perform basic computer literacy skills to complete essential job functions

Compensation

Salary Range: $22.40 to $37.33 / hour

Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $22.40 hourly (entry level qualifications) to $37.33 hourly (experienced in this role).
