Tissue Recovery Regional Supervisor - Eye Bank

About the role

Lead a team of Recovery Technicians responsible for ocular tissue recovery operations across the St. Louis and Springfield regions. This role combines hands-on recovery work, team leadership, quality oversight, and operational management while supporting a mission that helps restore sight through donation.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Develop the Team - Coach, mentor, and support Recovery Technicians while fostering a positive, mission-driven culture.
• Oversee Daily Operations - Manage staffing, scheduling, coverage, and operational support across multiple locations.
• Conduct Recovery Procedures - Perform ocular tissue recoveries, donor evaluations, documentation, and related clinical activities.
• Ensure Quality & Compliance - Maintain compliance with EBAA, FDA, HIPAA, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Support Hiring & Training - Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, competency development, and performance management.
• Drive Continuous Improvement - Partner with leadership to improve processes, enhance team performance, and maintain operational excellence.

Requirements

• Experience in surgical services, healthcare, tissue donation, forensic science, mortuary services, veterinary medicine, or related fields.
• Experience working in on-call, critical care, emergency response, transplant, recovery, or other time-sensitive environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• The ability to adapt, prioritize, and lead in fast-paced situations.
• Leadership, training, coaching, or supervisory experience is a plus.
