About the role
The primary purpose is to manage the critical processes related to received donor tissue and ensure its final destination.
Responsibilities
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator I: Prepares tissue for shipment, performs pre-processing cultures, discards tissue accurately and promptly, monitors temperatures, and handles alarms.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator II: Completes responsibilities from Section A or B, communicates interest in cross-training, and trains as opportunities arise.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator III: Manages all essential functions of Tissue Receiving Coordinator I and II, including being on call for donor tissue.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator IV: Manages all essential functions of Tissue Receiving Coordinator III, ensuring daily tasks are performed in the absence of a team leader.
Requirements
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator I: High school diploma or equivalent, intermediate computer literacy, strong interpersonal skills, ability to follow directions, and accurate number entry.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator II: Completion of Section A or B, all requirements of Tissue Receiving Coordinator I, and competence in all Tissue Receiving Coordinator section A and B training modules.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator III: All requirements of Tissue Receiving Coordinator I and II, plus recommendation by management and willingness to fill in as a team leader.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator IV: All requirements of Tissue Receiving Coordinator III, plus demonstrated ability to make positive team-building decisions and competency in both Tissue Receiving Coordinator I training modules within six months.
Qualifications
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator I: Associates degree in a health-related field, knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique, and one year of tissue banking experience preferred.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator II: Associates degree in a health-related field, knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique, and one year of tissue banking experience preferred.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator III: Associates degree in a health-related field, knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique, and one year of tissue banking experience preferred.
- Tissue Receiving Coordinator IV: Associates degree in a health-related field, knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique, and one year of tissue banking experience preferred.
Skills
- Intermediate computer literacy.

- Able to follow directions and serve as a team member.
- Able to enter and report numbers accurately.
- Knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique.
- Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS).

Pay
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Shifts are either Tuesday-Saturday (Mid shift 1300-2130) OR Tuesday-Saturday (2nd shift 1600-0030).
