About the role
Join Plaza Tire Service, a leader in the industry with 75 locations across Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and NW Arkansas. As a Lube and Tire Technician, you will perform non-technical service repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel related services, alignments, and flushes. You will also drive customers, pick up parts, and maintain shop cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport customers to and from their place of residence or business using the company vehicle.
- Pick up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
- Operate company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
- Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections following all company and state guidelines.
- Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
- Perform oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
- Observe general vehicle condition and report any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns.
- Utilize the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to document vehicle condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
- A general understanding of automotive mechanics is preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Exposure to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Work environment temperature varies and may include extreme heat and/or cold.
- Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required.
- Stand up to eight hours per day and walk to access various areas of the building.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; must have full range of motion with arms and hands.
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus.

Pay
Pay ranges from $16 - $19 per hour depending on experience.
