Schedule
Part-time during the school year: Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM (6 days per month). Potential to substitute for other days/times at other Middlesex County sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety and logistical needs of all children.
- Check in with families at the start and end of each program day.
- Support children in keeping track of their belongings.
- Escort children to the bathroom if needed or assist as required.
- Physically assist with program set-up and site clean-up.
- Lead songs and activities as requested by the TimberNook certified provider.
- Facilitate play needs, such as providing additional loose parts or tool-use support.
- Empower children by allowing them to direct their own play, observing from a safe distance, and intervening only for safety or social-emotional support.
Requirements
- Exude energy, enthusiasm, and patience with children.
- Be flexible, organized, prompt, and responsible.
- Able to work effectively with other staff, interact kindly with children, and communicate easily with families.
- Personable, comfortable working outside in all weather conditions, and undeterred by bugs, dirt, or mud.
- Physically able to participate in outdoor activities.
- Experience working with children is a plus.
Pay
$20.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience, education, and certification.
