Behavior Support Staff
Join our day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering education, socialization, and community volunteer activities daily.
About the Role
We are seeking a Specialized Direct Support Professional (DSP) with behaviors expertise to support a young adult male client in our adult day program. This role focuses on fostering independence, inclusion, and growth through engaging, activities-based support.
Schedule
- Primary: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Optional additional hours:
- Independent Living Services: 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- 3-to-10 days of in-office training at ETTA’s North Hollywood offices (Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; half days may be available upon request). Paid training provided.
Pay
Starting at $22.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in pursuing their goals and interests
- Support non-verbal communication and adapt to individual needs
- Engage in physical activities such as walking and basketball
- Drive clients using your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided) or a company van with multiple clients
- Provide compassionate, patient, and motivational support while teaching and guiding participants
Requirements
- Experience in the field with behaviors expertise
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Licensed driver with a minimum of three years’ experience
- Own insured vehicle with your name listed as an authorized driver
- Willingness to commute to North Hollywood and surrounding communities
- Comfortable driving clients in your personal vehicle or a company van
- Availability for the primary schedule (Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
