Tile - Sorting Utility/Operator - D Shift

About the role

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as a Receiving Operator. This role involves operating various powered industrial trucks to receive materials into the plant, preparing them for stocking, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to receive materials and prepare for stocking.
• Work with the receiving clerk and other departments to ensure timely off-loading of shipments.
• Maintain paperwork obtained from freight lines and submit to the appropriate person.
• Verify quantities on Bill of Ladings for received trucks.
• Ensure items received are cataloged in designated areas, adhering to 5S and visual workplace standards.
• Operate powered floor scrubbers to maintain clean floors.
• Check equipment to ensure peak operational efficiency.
• Follow safety guidelines and manufacturer’s operating parameters for all equipment.
• Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
• Maintain a daily sign-off sheet for all equipment operated.
• Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
• Perform other related duties as required.
