Tile Setter

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas, ensuring accurate dimensions.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including leveling and cleaning.
• Mix and apply adhesives, grout, and other materials as needed.
• Install tiles in accordance with design specifications and schematics.
• Perform caulking around fixtures and edges for a polished look.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct water damage restoration when necessary, ensuring all affected areas are properly treated.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including power and hand tools.
• Assist with remodeling projects that require tile installation or replacement.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds, and repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, sitting, and squatting.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with various types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone.
• Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques is a plus.
• Experience in fixture installation is advantageous.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.
• Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

Artistic Eye for Detail

An artistic eye for detail is preferred, and a portfolio of previous tile projects is desired.
