Responsibilities

• Operate various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing station or shipping area.
• Perform warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor product, maintaining displays, moving/storing/replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts.
• Perform receiving duties including unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Operate forklift equipment and maintain Dal-Tile certification for powered industrial trucks.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility through sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance.
• Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules and reporting accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to management.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
• 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience (no experience required for pallet jack).
• Good oral and written communication skills, record-keeping skills, and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability and ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• May lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Average picks per hour: 25, with average weight between 40-70 lbs (heavier picks of 50-70 lbs constitute 65% of the work shift; lighter items of 20-40 lbs constitute 35%).
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and a wide range of temperatures.
• Noise level is usually loud.
