About the role

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as a Checker with Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. This role involves packing, verifying orders, and labeling boxes for shipping in a family-friendly work environment that supports work-life balance and promotes from within.

Responsibilities

• Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping.
• Labels boxes with packing slips.
• Verifies orders for accuracy.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized.
• Operates sit-down forklift.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Previous distribution/warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good record-keeping and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• May be required to sit, climb, or balance occasionally.
• Must lift and/or move up to 110 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles.
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
• Noise level is usually loud.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with possible overtime and/or Saturday work.
