About the role

SAIC is seeking a Senior Electronic Technician to support the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This position supports electronic systems, integration, and testing for the Testing Infrastructure Group (TIG). TIG provides specialized, high-reliability facilities and engineering expertise for the full life cycle—design, development, test, and evaluation—of Navy strategic systems, electronic warfare, and weapon systems. They focus on critical testing for radiation hardening, hardware-in-the-loop, and complex electronic systems to ensure mission success. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative on-site environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain electronic systems, subsystems, and test equipment in support of EEW programs
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of electronic hardware, wiring, and associated components
  • Support system integration, test events, and demonstrations, including Developmental Test (DT) and field evaluations
  • Execute test procedures and data collection activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with program requirements
  • Interpret and work from technical schematics and engineering documentation
  • Assist engineers in system setup, calibration, and validation activities
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and failures in operational environments
  • Ensure compliance with safe protocols, configuration management, and standards
  • Maintain and track test equipment, tools, and inventory
  • Prepare and contribute to technical reports, logs, and documentation

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience supporting electronic systems, integration, and testing
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Experience with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)
  • Experience supporting field operations and shipboard/aviation systems
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal government programs, particularly EEW, RF, or mission systems
  • Familiarity with test and evaluation processes (DT/OT)
  • Experience with RF systems, communications equipment, or sensor systems
  • Experience working in operational or deployed environments
  • An Interim Secret clearance will be required to start

Education

Associate's degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
